Divisional Food Safety/Sanitation Manager – Overland Park, KS

This is a full time, exempt level position.

 

Position Summary:

The purpose of the Food Safety/Sanitation Manager is to be a resource to all 42 ADM North American Milling facilities, to assist, to provide guidance and consult in regard to continued improvement in all areas of Quality and Food Safety Systems with an emphasis on pest control and sanitation. This position will report to the Director of Quality Assurance and Food Safety.

 

Job Responsibilities:

·Utilize strong communication, teamwork, analysis, and process experience to enable continuous improvement in food safety and sanitation

·Build management and colleague commitment for food safety and quality through influence not authority

·Identify, develop and implement best practices for food safety and quality programs, procedures and training material for all facilities

·Be an Integrated Pest Management (IPM) resource for ADM facilities and customers

·Aid facilities in the preparation and follow up for 3rd party and customer food safety and quality audits including GFSI standards

 

Job Requirements:

·5 or more years of experience and knowledge of food safety and sanitation in the grain processing industry

·Knowledge of GFSI standards preferred

·Project management, analytical and problem solving skills

·Ability to effectively communicate (verbal and written) to all levels and functions of employees and customers

·Basic knowledge of stored product insects and pesticide usage(advanced knowledge preferred)

·Ability to get multiple states’ Pesticide Applicator license

·Experience in computer data bases and Microsoft Office applications

·Ability to travel up to 50% of the time

 

Physical Requirements:

The physicality of this position includes working indoors/outdoors, standing, kneeling, operating a keyboard, sitting and standing for prolonged periods of time, climbing stairs/ladders and the ability to work in confined spaces in a variety of environmental conditions.
