SCOPE OF POSITION:
This position is part of the corporate product development R&D team.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Include the following, other duties may be assigned.
• Execute tests using recognized procedures.
• Interpret results and translate to possible solutions.
• Demonstrate technical competence.
• Learn and utilize the on-line specification system.
• Maintain accurate and complete records.
• Demonstrate required technical communication skills
• Develop product development skills.
• Obtain a working knowledge of plant processes and facilities.
• Build and develop relationship with cross functional teams.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
None

CAPABILITIES:
• Demonstrate technical competence.
• Demonstrate motivated self-confidence and creative problem solving skills.
• Ability to interact with others in manufacturing, sales, lab and office environment.

SKILLS/PROFICIENCIES:
• Strong time and project management skills and basic understanding of the sciences.
• Basic knowledge and understanding of food recipes.
• Computer skills that include Word, Excel, PowerPoint with a basic knowledge and understanding of food recipes.

EXPERIENCE:
• A minimum of 2 years professional experience.
• Experience working in a Food CPG company is a strong plus.
• Experience in grains, meat and sauces preferred.

EDUCATION:
• BS/MS Food Science or equivalent required.
