Job Description :

The Food Safety and Compliance Manager will audit food safety and other auxiliary plant programs (SQF, PVP, Animal Welfare, etc.) as well as be the Sales point of contact for information needed from plants with regard to specifications, audits, letters of guarantee, etc. 

Job Requirements :

We are seeking candidates with a B.S. Degree in Food / Animal Science or any other related field with a minimum of two (2) years of management experience in the meat industry.  SQF, HACCP and PAACO certification preferred.  In addition, you must have a working knowledge and understanding of USDA (FSIS/AMS) regulations/programs and a technical knowledge of meats and proteins. 

The ideal candidates will have the ability to communicate effectively with all layers of plant and corporate management. Successful candidates must also have the ability to prioritize projects and set goals, have a systematic approach to problem solving, strong analytical skills, knowledge of Statistical Process Controls, and be proficient in Microsoft Office programs.

% of Travel Required : 60-70%
