Develop chocolate products from initial concept thru to production.
These products are finished ingredients used by other food companies as
ingredients for their products. They will be compound coatings for
enrobing, inclusions and particulates. Must be able to manage projects
and supervise a technician. Besides developing the chocolates, they will
from time to time do the application work to show how the product works
for the customer. Work directly with marketing, sales, customers,
suppliers and other groups within the company.
* BS Food Science (company may make an exception on a non-degreed
candidate with a lot of experience developing chocolate for different
* 5 or more years of product development experience refining chocolate –
the more diverse the experience the better i.e.. compound coatings,
enrobing, inclusions, enrobing and particulates – bits, chips, flakes
and experience working with customers to develop chocolate products they
need for their products.
* Strong communication skills.
