Job Description:
Assistant Professor of Nutrition and Food Sciences. Nine-month, tenure-track
appointment in the Department of Nutrition and Food Sciences at Denton,
Texas. The successful candidate is expected to teach undergraduate and
graduate courses in Food Systems Administration and Nutrition, advise
students, and establish a research program. Must have an earned doctorate in
Nutrition or related area. Registered Dietitian desirable. Experience or
desire to develop a research program in nutrition education preferred. Must
possess excellent communication skills.
Department Information:
The Department of Nutrition and Food Sciences welcomes applicants with the
desire for teaching and research in a growing department. The Department
offers an undergraduate Didactic Program in Dietetics (DPD) and combined
Master's/Dietetic Internship, both accredited by the Commission on
Accreditation for Dietetics Education (CADE) of the American Dietetic
Association. The Department has Master of Science degree programs in
Nutrition, Food Science, Food Systems Administration, and Exercise and Sports
Nutrition plus a doctoral program in Nutrition. For more information, please
