Job Description

Requirements: -BS in Food Science, Culinology or related field with 2-3 years of experience with retort pouch or canned food development. -Better Processing School, low-acid canned foods (LACF) required. -Experience with low-acid USDA/FSIS would be beneficial.

Duties:
-Establish formulas and procedures for new retort products.
-Modify and improve existing products as directed.
-Research equipment and ingredients needed for processing of new products. -Coordinate product implementation/scale up.
-Provide cost information regarding new products and formulation changes.
-Prepare nutritional analysis information.
