Food Scientist/ Sr. Food Scientist
Requirements: BS/ MS/ PhD in Food science or related discipline with a solid 2 years experience in food product development and the ability to read, analyze and interpret food industry periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures and/ or government regulations.
Duties: • Develop, duplicate and modify seasonings, dry batter mixes and/ or breaders. • Formulate, apply, and test at bench level and evaluate outgoing products ensure proper preparation. • Create finish frozen samples and arrange for completed products/ samples to be shipped to customers. • Conduct product presentations for internal/ external customers. • Monitor and test trial plant production to ensure compliance with culinary, health, safety and sanitation standards. • Laboratory analysis of final products to ensure compliance with labeling standards, food consistency and adherence to cost standards. • Establish appropriate quality control standards and specifications including adherence to HACCP program, FDA certification and AIB inspections. • Maintain accurate project files, formulae, specifications and data. • Adept at writing reports and business correspondence, updating procedure manuals and manage professional communications with internal and external customers and suppliers.
