Engineering is seeking a full time Regulatory Compliance Consultant to
assist in the Nutrition and Regulatory Affairs department at a major food
company in Tarrytown, NY.
Job Description: review of label graphics for
technical regulatory accuracy, evaluation of technical ingredient data,
development of nutrition and ingredient labeling, and competitive
assessments.
* Evaluate product formulations
* Evaluate raw materials
* Perform nutrition calculations and develop ingredient lines
* Evaluate nutrition data for nutrient content claims
* Maintain nutrition information within database
* Respond to general nutrition and ingredient questions using the databases
* Run searches on data within the database
* Gather information for nutrition related reports and create nutrition
reports
* File nutrition information, nutrient content claim substantiations, and
other information
* B.S. in
Nutrition, Food Science or related field.
* Excellent computer skills, especially Excel spreadsheets, and aptitude
for using databases
* Able to manage multiple tasks with effective time management skills
* Knowledge of ingredients, nutrient data, and allergens desirable
* Strong attention to detail
* Excellent communication skills
* Salary is commensurate with experience
