Directs and lead the daily
activities of quality assurance/control for food manufacturing company
- Develops/reports product tests
corrective and preventive measures to improve plant quality standards
- Primary liaison to all
- Maintains/implements all
quality control and process control programs including corporate, HACCP,
SSOPs and GMPs
- Responsibility and authority to
lead the development, implementation, review, and maintenance of the
- Has the authority to take
appropriate action to ensure the integrity of the GFSI system
- Lead the development and
implementation of Food Safety Fundamentals and Food Safety Plan as
outlined in the GFSI system.
- Communicate to relevant
personnel all information essential to ensure the effective
implementation and maintenance of the GFSI system.
Ideal Candidate will have GFSI
experience, and experience managing Food Defense Program.
- HACCP Certified.
- AIB and ISO 9000 knowledge.
- Kosher and Passover
experience (materials, certification, sanitation, processes)
- B.S. in Food Science or a
related science discipline
- Minimum 5 years experience in food manufacturing plus 2 years
- Background in microbiology,
chemistry and sanitation regulations is essential
- Project management skills
- Knowledge of food laws
- Experience working with food
industry regulatory agencies
