We currently have available a Quality Assurance and Food Safety Technician opportunity.

SUMMARY

The Quality Assurance and Food Safety Technician will be responsible for ensuring that James Skinner Baking stringent Sanitation, Environmental Sampling and Food Safety requirements are met. Associate must be able to work independently, be passionate about Food Safety ensuring product is produced in a sanitary environment and be confident enough to ensure that all hourly and salaried associates at the plant adhere to established rules.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

         Abide by all regulations, policies, codes, work procedures, and instructions.

         Promote quality, food safety excellence throughout the organization.

         Perform Pre-Operational functions prior to start of process activities.

         Verify the sanitation program is being adhered to through Daily ATP Swabs.

         Ability to place equipment on Hold when not meeting established sanitation guidelines.

         Monitoring Shipping and Receiving of ingredients and finished products.

         Maintain charting of weekly environmental data.

         Other duties may be assigned.

SPECIFIC KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, LICENSES, CERTIFICATIONS, ETC.

         Knowledge of inspection and quality control methods in a manufacturing environment, preferably in food manufacturing.

         Knowledge and use of a wide variety of measuring instruments.

         Must be able to work efficiently in a fast paced, continuously changing environment.

         Effective communication with other departments and outside contacts is essential.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

         Minimum of 6 months experience in a food/quality control environment

         High school diploma or GED is required, Bachelor痴 Degree preferred
