The
R&D Food Technologist will be responsible for all duties regarding the
development of products from concept to production and must be able to
apply sound scientific methods while conducting experiments and developing
new products. Strong interaction with other personnel, sales, operations,
process development, commercialization and customers in order to
successfully create bakery systems leading to new business will be
necessary.
MAIN DUTIES:
- Assist in the process
development and commercialization of developed systems utilizing
Company systems for application, development, organization and
communication.
- Focus on product
development projects, coordinate product development issues with
other departments, refine current formulations and maintain
formulation records, qualify primary and secondary ingredient
vendors, perform product shelf life experiments and maintain
R&D lab and equipment.
- Generate and review
product labels.
- Responsible for Food
Safety, Food Quality and Food Defense.
- Ensure work areas are kept
in clean condition.
- Ensure all ingredients are
well-organized.
- Responsible for the
washing of lab mixing items.
- Assist R&D
Technologist.
- Other duties as assigned.
SKILLS/COMPETENCIES:
- Must possess good
communication skills.
- Must be
computer literate in Microsoft operations (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
