This is a great opportunity for
someone with an interest in agriculture and food safety. We are seeking
a organized, motivated
individual with auditing experience, ideally in the food or agriculture
sector.
Responsibilities include:
- Maintain standards and
documentation associated with food safety certification programs
- Perform audits such as GlobalGap, SQF, GAP, GMP in a variety of food safety
sectors
- Maintain audit schedule
- Perform ongoing customer
service for existing clients
- Assist in the training of new
auditors
- Maintain audit integrity by
following the auditors code of conduct.
Qualifications:
- BS Degree in Agriculture
Science or equivalent work experience
- Must be knowledgable
about plant protection, fertilizer and IPM, through work experience or
education
- Professional training preferred
including: HACCP, Food Hygene, and
Principles of Basic Inspection
- Strong preference for
individuals who have had experience working in a farming environment
- Superior communication and
organizational skills
- Able to travel extensively, up
to 75%
- Strong computer skills,
including word and excel
- Bi-lingual in Spanish would be
a plus
