Lead the organization in defining and implementing food microbiology and
food safety systems aimed at comprehensive and practical management of
1. Act as the organizational lead and subject matter expert in food
microbiology and food safety.
2. Establish an integrated microbiology program that coherently addresses
environmental and other input risks.
3. Adjudicate food microbiology and safety data that relate to environment,
ingredients and finished products.
Education: BS (preferably MS or Ph.D) in Food
Microbiology/Food Safety from a well recognized program.
Experience: 8 - 10 years working as a site Food Microbiologist or combined
experience at site and corporate level in dry goods manufacture. Expertise
and experience in microbiology of thermal processing is considered a plus.
Site audit experience and facility sanitary design experience considered a
