Job Description

International Flavors & Fragrances (IFF), a world leader in the creation and manufacture of innovative flavors and fragrances currently has an outstanding opportunity at our South Brunswick, NJ facility:

 

 

FOOD TECHNOLOGIST

Confection Flavor Applications

 

Under the supervision of the Group Manager, provide support for confection flavor applications group NA to ensure successful results on commercial projects. Work closely with lab personnel on project execution, gold standard development, customer demo/presentations and utilizing IFF technology. A customer focus is emphasized, in the retail and food service sector. Product prototypes include hard boiled candy, chewing gum, bubble gum, chewy candy, gummy candy, pressed tablets, chocolate and compound coating.

 

REQUIREMENTS

Essential:

Minimum of a BS in Food Science or related field. Minimum of 1 year experience in product development for a food, ingredient or flavor company. Some knowledge of confection systems. A motivated self-starter capable of working in a team environment.

 

Preferred:

MS in Food Science or related field. Good knowledge of confection systems, demonstrated bench top to commercial prototype development desired.
