Position Title: Food Safety Coodinator
Department: Quality Assurance
Position Reports To: Quality Assurance Manager
FLSA Status: Non-Exempt
To effectively perform all duties in the
Lab in an efficient and accurate manner, while following all company
policies and procedures. All jobs will be performed safely, efficiently
and accurately to maintain and improve the performance of the entire plant
in the areas of SQR and our Customer 1st strategy.
Must be able to perform essential
functions of this position with or without reasonable accommodation.
- Directs and monitors
activities of the team using sound judgment to ensure successful
completion of assigned tasks.
- Keep work area neat and
- Perform tests, audits and
calibrations as needed and required.
- Maintain accurate
documentation as needed and required.
- Maintains regular and
predictable attendance, as well as working overtime as needed.
- Complete “if down, do"
lists as necessary.
- Complete other duties as
- Complete safety observations
The employee will follow all SQF
policies and requirements:
- Will follow established
programs, policies and practices to produce safe quality foods that
meet regulatory and company requirements.
- Will support the
development, implementation, maintenance, and ongoing improvement of
the SQF 2000 Systems.
- Will be accountable to the
Kroger Manufacturing Food Safety and Quality Principles.

Minimum Position Qualifications:
- Must be at least 18 years of
- High School Diploma or GED
- Associate Degree in related
- Ability to fluently read,
speak, write and comprehend the English language
- Basic math and computer
Desired Previous Job Experience:
- Minimum of two years
previous quality assurance lab experience
