This position offers the candidate an opportunity to gain technical depth and will be assigned to specific attributes in a project to lead design and execution for new product development. The candidate will have direct interface with Business, Operations and Quality partners on initiatives from defining product attributes through commercialization. Great position to further develop technical expertise, Innovation acumen, as well as demonstrate strong leadership skills.

  • The candidate will plan and conduct projects, participate in development of objectives, and executes against the same recommending action plans to implement key findings
  • The candidate will represent R&D on cross-functional teams by communicating technical perspectives, for the development of successful commercialization plans.
  • The candidate will properly document and communicate to peers, Core, and R&D Leadership, project summaries and key findings for the documentation and application to current and future projects.
  • Develops and leverages effective cross-functional and RDQ&I relationships within and outside of their BU/functions.

Internal and External Contacts:

  • The candidate will interact with peers and technical experts on a daily basis on establishing and reviewing project action plans and implementation of key findings.
  • The candidate will interact with direct management on a weekly and as needed basis for reviewing recommended action plans, as well as receiving coaching on projects and career plans.
  • The candidate will interact with operations, marketing, consumer insights, nutrition and regulatory on a weekly to as needed basis.


Education: Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Food Process Engineering or Chemical Engineering

Functional / Technical Expertise:

  • Minimum 2 years’ in Product Development in a Food or Beverage CPG company.
  • Minimum 2 years’ pasta, cheese sauce and meal kit development experience is a plus.
  • Minimum 1 year experience with commercializing products from concept through commercialization.
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience with interpreting and applying consumer guided research to aid in product development.
  • Minimum 6 years’ experience with New Product development from concept development to commercialization.
