QUALITY ASSURANCE MANAGER – VEGETABLE GROWER LEACH FARMS, INC. – BERLIN, WI Company Description: Leach Farms, Inc. is a family owned
grower and processor of premium grade celery.
We are a Specialty ingredient supplier to
some of the finest food business companies in the United States. Location: Leach Farms, Inc. is located in
Central Wisconsin approximately 90 miles SW of Green Bay, 100 miles NW of Milwaukee and 75
miles N of Madison. Responsibilities: ·
Oversee and direct internal facility inspections and
customer quality audits ·
Comply with all regulations and maintain proper
sanitary conditions at all times ·
Develop and review quality and safety policies ·
Monitoring of quality assurance records ·
Supervision and training of seasonal QA Technicians and
Sanitation Workers ·
Orientation and training of Seasonal Processing
Employees ·
Conducting inventories of processing/sanitation
supplies ·
Maintain/implement all quality control and process
control programs including HACCP & GMPs ·
Collection and shipment of product samples to outside
labs and customers. ·
Review customer feedback and respond to any complaints ·
Finished product grading ·
Calibration of QA testing equipment Qualifications: ·
Solid knowledge of Food Safety, Good Manufacturing
Practices, HAACP and Microbiology ·
Minimum 2 years supervisory experience in food
manufacturing ·
Knowledge of food laws ·
Project management skills ·
To perform this job successfully, individual must be
able to perform each essential duty to meet customer and regulatory needs ·
Ability to work 5-7 days a week during season
(July-October) ·
Ability to work 4-10 hour days, Monday – Thursday,
during off season (November-April) ·
Ability to work independently with Minimal supervision We Offer ·
