Real
Mex Foods has an immediate opening for a Food Technologist at our Plant in
Vernon.
Responsibilities include:
• Modifying existing products and processes and developing new ones
• Checking and improving quality control procedures from the raw material
stage through to the finished product
• Researching current consumer markets and latest technologies to develop
new product concepts
• Selecting raw materials and other ingredients from suppliers
• Preparing product costings based on raw materials and manufacturing costs
to ensure profitable products
• Addressing issues of safety and quality
Requirements:
• Bachelors in Science related to food or food technology
• 5 years experience at food manufacturer
• 3 years USDA food plant experience
• Advanced PC skills
• Accustom to working with R&D, Sales, and Quality Assurance developing
products
• Proven track record developing products for retail and club fresh
departments
• Knowledge of techniques, procedures, and equipment used to meet shelf
life targets
