Primary Responsibilities

nResponsible for sales of Food Safety and Food Quality Services to established and new customers. Prospect, and cultivate leads to generate revenue in accordance to SGS CTS US and sales strategies and individual targets to include other Strategic Business Units and SGS SA global business lines.
nResponsible for effective and professional relationship and integration with US CTS client services team, global sales and operations staffs.

Specific responsibilities

nExecution of sales for U.S. based customers within assigned industry/customer base
nDevelops sales plans with sales manager to insure the achievement of targets
nConsistently and accurately provides sales reports and other reports as required by sales manager
nWorks with Clients services to insure ease and transparency of client information and requirements.
nWorks closely with SGS affiliates to present valued-added solutions to prospective customers.
n Issues quotations and proposals and negotiates fees, terms and conditions as necessary.
nWorks closely and provides support to the Client Services teamnIssues quotations and proposals and negotiates fees, terms and conditions for program clients
nMaintains and develops relationships with existing and potential customers.
nVisits potential customers to prospect for new business
nActs as a contact between a company and its existing and potential markets
nNegotiates the terms of an agreement and closes sales
nAttends industry and trade show events in support of lead generation and prospecting
nData entry
nSend Reports to clients.
nMaintain job folders and filing.
nOther duties assigned as necessary in response to business needs.

nBachelor’s degree in food science or related field.
nA minimum of four-five (4-5) years of successful sales experience in food safety, laboratory, testing equipment or microbiological, quality assurance, or other food related industry
nEstablished relationships in retail grocery, importer, private label manufacturing in the meat, seafood, bakery, produce, dairy, agriculture, hospitality or other food related industry.
nStrong people skills to include cross cultural sensitivities
nAbility to close sales
nProven analytical and problem solving abilities
nInternational business exposure in imported consumer products
nStrong written and spoken English skills, other languages will be an advantage
nPersuasive, diplomatic, but always to the point and a strong ability to sell a concept.
nHands-on, open-minded, proactive team player
nProficient in Microsoft Office- Word, Excel, and Outlook specifically.
