position has overall responsibility for Quality Assurance and Food Safety
functions of the company and will act as the company's SQF Practitioner,
overseeing the development, implementation, review, and maintenance of
the SQF 2000 Certification under the Global Food Safety Initiative
(GFSI). The position will be responsible for: Hazard Analysis and the
development of Control Points (HACCP); managing customer and 3rd party
audits; managing customer and consumer complaints; managing systems
required for identity foods (i.e.. Kosher, Organic); recommending process
improvements to reduce waste; conducting quality and food safety
training; managing relations with outside labs; providing technical
assistance for new products; developing specifications and standards for
testing for new products; managing systems for control of non-conforming
products; issuing COA's and product releases.
job requires a bachelor's degree and 5 years of experience.
job has some special requirements. You must undergo drug screening and
pass a physical examination.
years experience in the food manufacturing industry and strong experience
in new product development. Proven ability to effect change in systems
and processes. Detailed and thorough record keeping and process
documentation skills. Quality improvement experience in
processing/packing/bottling environment. SQF 2000 Practitioner highly
desirable. HACCP certified. USDA, FDA, QA experience required. Excellent
verbal and written skills. Proficiency in MS Word and Excel. Strong computer
