JOB SUMMARY: Overall responsibility is to assist in special projects for the Driscollís Food Safety Department. Responsibilities may include assisting the Food Safety Representative with routine departmental tasks including processing grower pesticide use reports, routine sampling of irrigation water, fruit sampling, cooler swabbing, processing lab results, requesting audit certificates from 3PL facilities, collecting and processing pre-harvest information, releasing ranches for harvest, corrective action processing, performing mock recalls, and tracking grower compliance with our policies.

QUALIFICATION: Working to obtain a science based degree. Candidate must be able to follow instructions precisely. Candidate must be able to perform in a high paced environment. Attention to detail is essential. Candidate must have excellent interpersonal and organizational skills. Candidate must have the ability to deal effectively with the Driscollís grower community. Candidate must possess good verbal and written communication skills, good Excel skills preferred, Bilingual Spanish/English preferred.

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

Program Management: Work closely with the Food Safety Representative to manage and implement the Food Safety program in the associated region. This includes scheduling audits to keep all Driscoll's growers and facilities current with their certifications, processing grower pesticide use reports, routine sampling of irrigation water, fruit sampling, cooler swabbing, processing lab results, compiling regional ranch and facility lists, requesting audit certificates from 3PL facilities, audit scheduling, collecting and processing pre-harvest information, releasing ranches for harvest, corrective action processing, performing mock recalls, and tracking grower compliance with our policies.

General: Ensures the security of Driscollís proprietary and confidential information and material. Follows Company policies and practices while representing Driscollís in an ethical and business-like manner in all interactions with employees, government agencies, growers, customers, etc. Performs other duties as assigned by the Southern District Food Safety Representative.
