-Provide all necessary support for internal /external audits and provide sustainable
corrective/preventive actions for gaps.
-Maintain and follow up issues addressed in the Master Gap List
-Perform quality testing and maintain quality documentation according to NWNA quality programs
and QMS and ensure regulatory requirements are met
-Conduct and facilitate internal and external quality audits, including but not limited to ISO,
Nestec, FSMS, and FDA, with corrective action plans
-Conduct sampling finished product to meet requirements and analyze results
-Understand and monitor filter train; integrity test filters and troubleshoot failures.
-Conduct GC and IC analysis of resin and preforms for acetaldehyde
-Maintain chemical inventory
-Provide training to employees including new hires and maintain training records and matrix
-Operate, maintain and calibrate laboratory instruments as required by the ICP / calibration
-Collaborate with the Planning Coordinator and raw material suppliers to optimize quality and
reconcile DMRs in a timely manner
-Support factory Release Program
-Attend DH meetings to represent QA in planning
-Assist in monitoring and maintaining overall hygienic condition/ GMPs of facility
-Understand, recognize and support the HACCP program
-Water processing management
-Monitor and schedule waste water practices
-FSBO, SBO program and daily sensory participation and FMDB reporting
-Maintain / create all SOPs relevant to position
-Provide backup / support for QA positions as needed
-Complete projects assigned by Quality Manager
Sensory (In addition to general duties)
-Sensory coordinator and manage sensory program as required by NWNA including library
-Develop the sensory program, including employee training, sensory panels, and interpretation of
Systems/Customer Complaints In addition to general duties)
-Evaluate and trend consumer complaints to identify root causes and implement corrective and
-Monitor and maintain Infinity systems; review missed checks and follow up with corrective actions
-Work with the sanitation/hygiene coordinator and maintenance to manage and maintain water
processing, RO units,low ozone system, mineral skids, chemical inventories, and micron filters.
-Work with Maintenance and Quality Assurance Resources to schedule and complete PMís on
water processing equipment.
-Assist water processing technicians in daily assignments during peak seasons.
-Manage the RO units (filter changes, cleanings, daily readings, maint. etc.)
-Preform maintenance on equipment in water processing, pump and valve rebuilds.
-Participate in Plan Do Review meetings (PDR) for water processing
-Develop and maintain a Preventative Maintenance plan for equipment in water processing and
other quality sensitive equipment
-Manage micro-filtration system (filter changes, pressure readings, and flow rates)
-Manage the ozone on all lines (rebuilding and calibration of ozone sensors)
-Assist in management of chemical inventory
-Manage NPL (mineral) and flavor skids (CIPís, batching, training etc.)
-Manage 5ís standards for water processing areas
-Line Audits, Duplicates, and Release as necessary
-Monthly composite sampling of parameters, such as, conductivity, chloride, pH etc.
-Other duties as may be necessary to support the maintenance and operation of water processing
-Bachelor of Science Degree in Microbiology, Food Science /Technology or comparable field
-Minimum 3 years food / beverage manufacturing experience
-Auditing Skills, SPC knowledge, CIP and cleaning systems and procedures
-Corrective / preventive action knowledge and understanding
-Very effective written and verbal communication skills
-Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks
-Gap analysis and action planning
-Can demonstrate the ability to work with minimal supervision effectively
-Effective teaching, influencing, and troubleshooting skills
-Must demonstrate a positive attitude, strong work ethic, decisive nature and a High level of initiative
-Computer skills to include proficiency with Microsoft Office software
