We're currently looking for a food production supervisor to manage our team of skilled meat processors at our facility in Hayward to further our mission of deliverying the best ingredients to the best kitchens in the world.  The ideal candidate is a good communicator, and can lead the team towards higher standards of food safety and production efficiency

Job Description

         Direct supervision of production employees and their activities

         Reviews production schedule, verifies end products production and plans daily for material and staff requirements 

         Supervises pre-operation set-up and with line supervisors/leads to ensure production starts on schedule while achieving optimum quality standards 

         Conducts in-process and finished product inspections to ensure quality 

         Ensures adherence to all quality requirements and safety requirements including Sanitation SOPs, HAACP plans, etc and assess/evolve these plans when necessary. 

         Interacts with USDA FSIS inspection personnel to prevent and resolve any and all food safety issues

         Regularly educates and trains employees on work procedures, safety practices, quality execution and company policies 

         Manages production training and its documentation 

         Review and evolve manufacturing processes to increase productivity and yield 

         Works with senior management to introduce, evolve and implement a system of policies to improve production efficiency and food safety 

         Promotes a safe work place environment 

         Troubleshoots all production issues immediately and implements corrective actions 

         Coordinates maintenance for preventative and unplanned maintenance of equipment and facilities 

         Drive key performance indicators for production and logistics, reporting to upper management 


         Prior experience in a food production supervisory role or operations supervisory role. Meat processing experience a plus.

         Working knowledge of Federal Food Safety regulation and HACCP plans. 

         A history of monitoring, enforcing, and evolving an establishment's Sanitary Standard Operating Procedures (SSOP)

         Exceptional organizational ability and documenter.

         Outstanding verbal and written communication skills 

         Adept with Windows, Microsoft Office Suite, and the ability to seek resources on the internet

         Multi-lingual in English, Chinese and/or Spanish a huge plus
