Job Description

Marketing Specialist-Food Safety and Animal Health (8830)

Position Objective

Support the execution of all global marketing projects resulting in growing the current market share and revenue for the Food Safety and Animal Health business units.

Support the development of strategic and tactical initiatives encompassing the digital marketing in conjunction with the market development team and execute the media and web channel plan in support of Food Safety and Animal Health strategic objectives.

Organize and implement the production of all marketing collateral, such as product brochures, promotion flyers, sales tools, e-blast, SEM efforts, logistics and marketing materials for all major trade shows.

Work with closely with regional market development managers in Greater China and IPAC/APJ regions to assist in implementation of marketing programs to drive the business in the specific regions.

Work closely with Global Marketing team and local operation team to execute New Product Introduction launch marketing programs.

Responsible for initiating and monitoring of all projects, including timelines and budgets.

Help sales team with updating Siebel (CRM) and other customer database for implementation of one-to-one relationship strategy.

We do not offer relocation for this role.

Identify, propose & develop new opportunities to generate increased site traffic, improve conversions.

Implement keyword discovery & expansion and develop content for optimized SEO and SEM strategies.

Maximize synergies between paid and natural search campaigns.

Research and analyze competitor advertising links.

Develop and publish internal strategies for social media projects and technologies in conjunction with market development managers to meet critical business needs.

Coordinate online media outreach and viral campaigns that increase awareness and/or drive traffic to the relevant pages on web site.

Develop and manage pages on popular consumer social networking websites (i.e. LinkedIn, Twitter, Facebook, YouTube, Second Life, etc) to increase brand awareness and drive traffic to the Invitrogen site.

Education Requirements

Bachelorís degree in Marketing, or related discipline, or the equivalent education and experience are preferred.

Experience Requirements

3-5 years experience in a similar role in food testing and/or animal health industry

Results-driven, innovative thinker

Works well with cross-functional teams

May perform other related duties as required and/or assigned.
