I measure my success as a Local Vendor QA Coordinator by the following:

  • I strive daily to exceed my customersí expectations by providing a positive first impression, determining actual needs, delivering real solutions, adding value where I can, and leaving the customer with a lasting positive last impression.   • I respect my customer, and those I work with, and this empowers me to do my very best to deliver a quality customer experience for each customer, and to assist those I work with in doing the same.
  • I support Local Vendor QA by communicating with local vendors to ensure consistency in GAP (Good Agriculture Practices), quality, product handling, FDA guidelines and COOL as it pertains to Reasorís / OSU Good Safety Certification and sanitation policies.
  • I support Local Vendor QA by providing training as needed to local vendors, and I ensure local vendors have current certification I GFSI, GAP, and Reasorís / OSU Food Safety Certification.
  • I support Local Vendor QA by keeping current on product knowledge.
  • My fellow employees and I work to ensure that our department meets the high standards set out for us, and that we deliver on every aspect of the Reasorís Value Proposition daily.
  • My fellow employees and I follow the Reasorís policies and procedures as we go about our daily tasks knowing that this creates a safe and secure place to work and shop.
  • My safety, my customerís safety and the safety of those I work with is my first responsibility, and by following the procedures in place, and using the training provided, I go about my daily business mindful I have control over my safety and the safety of others.
  • I am mindful that the equipment and tools that I use to perform my job are to be used properly and only after proper training. That used improperly, I am a danger to myself, those I work with and possibly my customer.


  • Bachelorís degree in a food science related field
  • An understanding of retail supermarkets or foodservice operations preferred
  • Must possess thorough knowledge and full understanding of the Food Code and food safety and handling procedures
  • Food retail experience preferred
  • Farm, Produce and Local Manufacturing experience preferred
  • Must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills to develop and maintain effective business relationships internally and externally
  • Ability to provide excellent service and support to stores and store personnel.
  • Adaptable to different situations and the ability to respond with flexibility to shifting priorities and rapid change.
  • Ability to interpret, understand and follow instructions.
  • Ability to prioritize and complete tasks in a timely manner.
  • Experience using personal computers and familiarity with word-processing and spreadsheet software required
  • Frequently moves, lifts, carries and places merchandise and supplies weighing less than or equal to 50 pounds without assistance.
  • Frequently reaches overhead, including pushing, pulling and twisting with or without bearing weight.
  • Frequently required to squat, kneel, bend, stoop, crouch or crawl.
  • Occasionally required to climb.
  • Continuous repetitive motion with hand(s) and arm(s), such as grasping, gripping and turning.
  • Stands and/or walks frequently throughout shift.
  • Constant clarity of vision at near/or far distances
  • May be exposed to various allergens
  • Subject to inside environmental conditions.
  • Protection from weather conditions but not necessarily from temperature changes
  • Employment at Reasorís may be contingent upon completion and our evaluation of a personality assessment, drug screen, employment reference check and criminal background check.
