Job Description :
The Food Safety Manager is the onsite food safety and regulatory authority at the facility. The position has the primary responsibility of driving the food safety systems of the plant by developing, modifying, and maintaining the plant's HACCP, SSOP, and regulatory programs to ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements for the production of safe and wholesome food.
Job Requirements :
Ideal candidate will have a Bachelorís or Masterís degree in Food Safety, Microbiology, Chemistry, Food Science, or other related field; 3+ years of progressive food processing experience within a manufacturing environment under HACCP, USDA and/or FDA is a plus; 3+ years facilitating food safety/quality related training events; Previous experience with Global Food Safety Initiative recognized programs a plus; Strong organizational, leadership and communication skills; Able to work with cross functional departments within the organization; Good problem solving and corrective action/resolution skills; and Strong computer skills with experience using Word, Excel, Access, Power Point, SAP a plus.
