EMSL
Analytical, Inc. is currently seeking a full-time experience Food Chemist
for its Headquarters location in Cinnaminson, NJ. EMSL is a growing
commercial environmental testing laboratory. This position offers
the chance to work for a stable company that is team oriented and offers

Working
under the direction of a senior staff member, the candidate will be
primarily responsible for the sample preparation and testing of food
products for nutritional content and product safety.
Major
Responsibilities but not limited to:
Perform
a variety of sample preparation and analysis procedures to quantitatively
measure chemical and physical properties in a variety of food products
Conduct
routine analysis in compliance with applicable methods, protocols, SOPs
Maintain
and complete all laboratory documentation in clear and accurate language
Operate
and maintain basic analytical equipment and instrumentation designated
for food analysis (will be trained)
Perform
calculations and conversions, and compile the data obtained
Manage
time effectively to complete assignments in expected time frame
Maintain
a clean and safe laboratory work environment
Qualifications
& Experience:
MS of Ph D Degree in Organic Chemistry, Analytical Chemisty, Food Science.

years of laboratory experience in commerical
food testing lab
Experience
in quantitative analysis, trace analysis, methiod
development, and sample preparation techniques.
Previous
experience in food chemistry, food sample preparation and analysis
preferred.
Ability
to complete data calculations including percents,
ratios and common algebraic formulae.
Experience
working with HPLC, LCMS, GC, GC/MS, TLC.
Excellent
organizational and time management skills are necessary
Ability
to work with little or no supervision in a fast-paced work environment
and interact effectively with all levels of staff
Good
written and oral communication skills
Knowledge
of basic computer skills such Microsoft Outlook, word and excel is
required
Hours:
Monday – Friday 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM but flexibility is required.
