Supply Chain Food Science Intern (Job Number: 0028U7) – Dallas, TX

This position reports to the Sr. Director of QA and Food Safety and will help support the team. This individual will gain comprehensive understanding of Brinker’s supply chain strategies which include a commitment to quality assurance and food safety, continuity of supply and cost management. If you like to have fun, but work hard, this is your internship!

 

Key Performance Elements / Essential Functions:

• Assist team in creating product information guides for use in international markets for development of new supply.

• Build a product database by photographing the products, describing the product scenarios, collecting formulation information and validating audit documentation.

• Collaborate with the Corporate Nutritionist to audit current data in the nutrition database for both Chili’s and Maggiano’s

• Partner with the Nutritionist, Culinary teams and Technical Services team to update product information by facilitating laboratory product testing and reviewing recipe and formulation data.

• Participate in supply partner and distributor product, facility, and documentation audits.

• Assist Technical Services team to create specifications and formulation documentation for new products.

 

Education/Training:

• Current college senior or recent undergraduate

• Field of study should be Food Science, Nutrition or another related foodservice degree

 

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

• Proficient with Microsoft Office and Excel

• Great at managing a variety of projects and deadlines

• Highly organized and detail oriented

• Strong verbal and interpersonal skills

• Restaurant experience is a plus
