Food Technologist - Real Mex Foods –
Vernon, CA
Real Mex Foods has an immediate opening for a Food Technologist
at our Plant in Vernon.
Responsibilities include:
� Modifying existing
products and processes and developing new ones
� Checking and improving
quality control procedures from the raw material stage through to the
finished product
� Researching current
consumer markets and latest technologies to develop new product concepts
� Selecting raw materials
and other ingredients from suppliers
� Preparing product
costings based on raw materials and manufacturing costs to ensure profitable
products
� Addressing issues of
safety and quality
Requirements:
� Bachelors in Science
related to food or food technology
� 5 years experience at
food manufacturer
� 3 years USDA food plant
experience
� Advanced PC skills
� Accustom to working
with R&D, Sales, and Quality Assurance developing products
� Proven track record
developing products for retail and club fresh departments
� Knowledge of
techniques, procedures, and equipment used to meet shelf life targets
