GENERAL JOB SUMMARY

Identifying and, when justified, implementing cost saving projects, quality improvement projects and process improvement projects. Additionally, the successful candidate will work closely with marketing, purchasing, engineering and operations to commercialize new and improved products. The successful candidate will have demonstrated the ability to manage food product development initiative from the laboratory to commercialization. This position works in cross functional teams as both a leader and a participant. The successful candidate has to be comfortable in both roles.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

  • Work closely with marketing, purchasing, engineering and operations to commercialize new and improved products.
  • Manage food product development initiative from the laboratory to commercialization.
  • Work in cross functional teams as both a leader and a participant. The successful candidate has to be comfortable in both roles.

KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES

  • 10+ years of industrial / product development experience.
  • Frozen food product development experience and knowledge of food manufacturing processes is desirable.
  • Technical, organizational, and leadership skills necessary.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

  • Minimum Education: Bachelor of Science in Food Science or related field.
  • Preferred education: Master of Science in Food Science or related field.
  • Minimum experience: 8 years of industrial experience.
  • Preferred Experience: 10+ years of industrial / product development experience.
