The ideal candidate will provide support, research, creation
and development skills for technical activities in the oral care
flavoring division. The incumbent will organize and direct technical
efforts of the company in order to progress oral care flavor development
technology and give direction to sales and marketing. This individual
will also be responsible for creating novel and innovative flavors using
proprietary materials for specific customers. Additional responsibilities
include:
Modify or duplicate flavors in response to customer requests.
Act as one of the technical representative for the company by
participating in industry related associations.
Provide technical support to other functional groups within the company
including Quality Control, Production, Purchasing, Applications, R&D
and sales, this will involve some overseas travel.
Be responsible for the coordination and successful execution of global
projects with affiliate organizations.
Ensure newly created formulations comply within the bounds of the
legislative and regulatory requirements. Provide guidance and direction
for applications staff on oral hygiene product formulations including
toothpaste and mouthwash.
Stay abreast of new developments in new raw materials, suppliers,
technologies and trends in the Oral Care Industry. Share knowledge with
affiliates and co-workers.
Develop new customer relationships and strengthen existing ones.
Respond to customers in a timely and efficient manner.
Maintain the high quality image of the corporation by adhering to all
company policies.
Work independently in a highly motivated way providing feedback to
management on a regular basis on key targets and projects.
Requirements:
Education & Experience:
B.S. Degree in any of the sciences (Chemistry, Biology, Biochemistry,
Food Science) is preferred.
Certified member of Society of Flavor Chemists. 5+ years experience in
oral care flavor creations.
Exceptional communication, presentation and computer skills are
required.
Must be able to travel both domestic and international, on an as needed
basis.
Should have some experience of working or travelling overseas.
