WHAT WILL I BE DOING?
In your role as a Plant Quality and Food Safety Manager at Kellogg, you will be part of our success by:
• Directing, planning and implementing traceability testing and monitoring
• Being responsible for vendor management related to food safety
• Ensuring the facility meets all required food safety laws, regulations, and corporate policies
• Being responsible for the microbial program compliance for the facility. Also, responsible for continued development and continuous improvement of such programs
• Managing environmental responsibilities
• Being responsible for food safety accountability for all hours of operation
• Being responsible for allergen program management for the facility.
• Being accountable for HACCP & food safety training for the facility to ensure compliance and execution of required programs
• Ensuring adherence to all standard work processes, including K-LEAN processes
• Being responsible for compliance with all regulations. Food Safety at plant in proper sanitary condition at all times, including allergen control, pest control, guidelines followed. Compliance with food safety policies and procedures
• Being responsible for MCRS® (Management Control Report System) sustainability: Ensure achievement of all area / shift KPIs; ensure adherence to and continuous improvement of all area / shift MCRS® elements
• Being responsible for supporting the execution of relevant projects within assigned area / shift
• Being responsible for supporting talent management process for hourly employees. Ensure Diversity and Inclusion meets / exceeds corporate standards. Proactively engage in the development and training of hourly labor and support such plans developed by plant leadership.
• Maintaining understanding of processes and functional interdependencies. Recognize and escalate, as needed, those issues identified as risks to, or opportunities to improve, plant performance.
• Adhering to and administer company policies and procedures

 

 

 

WHAT DO I NEED TO DEMONSTRATE?
As well as a hunger to learn and succeed in strategic sales, to be considered for this position you must be able to meet the following requirements:

Required:
• BS degree (food related) and significant experience in quality & food safety
• Demonstrated years of Supervisory Experience
• Previous HACCP certification program design and implementation is required. Food processing and packaging experience
• Thorough technical knowledge of quality & food safety is required
• Strong written & verbal communication skills, analytical ability, leadership strengths and ability to work effectively with a team are required
• Computer software skills to include Word, Excel and PowerPoint

Preferred:
• Experience in managing processes
• Experience using SPC Software
