Sanitation and Safety Specialist

DESCRIPTION:
This
position is located in the Division of Hotels and Restaurants and
conducts sanitation and safety inspections of hotels and restaurants and investigations
of food-borne illness complaints.
SELECTION
CRITERIA:
Preference
will be given to applicants with:
1) Bachelors degree in a health related field; or
2) Bachelors degree (in any field) & 1 year
industry-related management experience; or
3) 5 or
more years industry-related management
experience can substitute on a year-for-year basis for the Bachelors degree.
KNOWLEDGE,
SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Knowledge
of laws and rules pertaining to sanitation and safety inspections. Experience
in a variety of inspection activities.
Ability
to work on a team and participate in team activities.
This
position requires a security background check.
