To
support the PepsiCo food safety efforts and specifically, the Supplier
Quality Assurance Program by managing and maintaining the Raw
Material/Packaging Risk Matrix and the global recycled PET (rPET) Packaging
Supplier Database. This will require reviewing the hazards and risks of all
new and existing packaging materials and all packaging suppliers within the
global beverage and food categories. In addition, this person will review
ingredient specifications for compliance with global/regional quality requirements
and maintain Global & Regulatory (G&R) statements. This role will
also review new and existing ingredient data, create new Regulatory Units
as needed, contact suppliers for additional information and update
ingredient database to support product labeling.
Key Accountabilities:
- Provide
technical guidance and coordinate activities to get alignment of
global packaging material risk and hazard classifications between
International Food Safety & Nutrition (IFSAN) and other functional
groups for all new packaging components which include primary
packaging materials.
- Tracks
compliance to the packaging Supplier Quality Assurance (SQA) Program
and Food Safety requirements of different business units by measuring
their efforts to address current gaps over time.
- Identify and
evaluate other systems which could enhance the efficiency and
functionality of the current SQA databases.
- Develop and
maintain effective working relationships with business partners, e.g.,
Food Safety, Quality, Scientific & Regulatory Affairs (S&RA),
R&D and Strategic Supply Management (SSM) functions
- Review and
revise global packaging material specifications to ensure S&RA
requirements are met.
- Develop and
issue ad hoc reports to identify and demonstrate emerging trends and
to identify areas for improvement and greater efficiency.
