A Food Scientist at General Mills faces opportunities and
assumes responsibilities unlike scientists at any other company or in any
other industry. At General Mills, you will work in a hands-on environment and
are actively involved in a broad spectrum of activities, including new
product strategy, concept development, product formulation, process
development, scale-up and plant start-ups.
From your very first days at one of our technical centers, you are an
integral part of a team committed to creating new products and businesses in
the tradition of superior quality consumer goods like Cheerios, Wheaties,
Pillsbury dough products, Betty Crocker desserts and other General Mills
brands that you routinely see in your supermarkets and grocery stores.
Facing technical challenges head-on, you will be the primary force in driving
a project from the initial concept stage to the appearance on the grocerís
shelves. We will put your skills to work on the development of prototypes,
from testing and refinement to large-scale production of the retail product.
You assume the roles of innovator, project leader, and
technical problem-solver as you team with General Millsí
Marketing, Marketing Research, Manufacturing and
Engineering professionals. Together, you are accountable for expanding new
product businesses and making major product improvements.
