POSITION SUMMARY: : Perform various inspections/audits, gathers data, and records results in a timely and accurate manner, trains others in quality functions.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESinclude the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  1. Perform sanitation inspection.
  2. Collect accurate laboratory samples and monitor data.
  3. Conducts inspections and audits to measure system performance, product quality, food safety and regulator compliance.
  4. Monitor and record environmental, process, and product temperatures during various stages of production.
  5. Monitor equipment performance.
  6. Monitors equipment and facility condition according to GNP, SQF, and USDA standards.
  7. Verify that HACCP, prerequisite and SQF programs are being followed correctly.
  8. Train co-workers on GMP – Good Manufacturing Practices, SSOP and HACCP.
  9. Other duties as assigned by supervisor.

  • Observe & enforce all company personnel, quality, safety, and food safety policies.
  • Maintains a positive work atmosphere by acting and communicating in a manner to work effectively and cooperatively with customers, clients, coworkers, and leadership teams.
  • Participates in process improvement and problem solving utilizing continuous improvement and rational thinking methodologies such as Six Sigma, Lean and participates in or supports the E$P program
  • Recognizes and acts on incidents and safety risks. Consistently practices, and enforces safe work habits and drives those habits throughout the organization.


  • General understanding of sanitation process and production processes.
  • Excellent math skills to perform required math functions.
  • Excellent hand/eye coordination.
  • Considerable knowledge necessary to use required test equipment and perform calibrations.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. when required.
  • Must be able to work with minimum supervision.
  • Excellent communication skills; must be able to orientate and instruct co-workers on departmental and regulatory polices and procedures.
  • Must be able to work flexible hours and have excellent attendance.
  • Personal Computer skills required to perform basic computer tasks.
