Job Description


* Develops ingredients by studying consumer requirements; will assist Senior Food Scientist in preparing formulations and making adjustments to current formulas.

* Will create new recipes for new product development, after doing extensive research.


*Will perform sensory evaluation.  

* Recommends food manufacturing and blending processes, systems, and technologies by evaluating current, new, or improved processes or process aids, systems, and technologies; analyzing problems resulting from existing approaches and techniques; designing experiments; collecting samples and preparing products for testing; scheduling trial runs; evaluating test results.

* Implements manufacturing processes by preparing specifications; monitoring ingredient scale-up in manufacturing; monitoring plant production.

* Documents actions by maintaining scientific logs; compiling technical journals. 

* Maintains quality service by establishing and enforcing organization standards.

* Maintains safe and clean work environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations, and good manufacturing practices.

Job Requirements


BS in Food Science or a related scientific field


1-5 years food manufacturing/industry experience


QA, QC or R&D experience
