Summary

The primary role of the food technologist includes developing robust formulations that meet the specification and quality standards required by our customers; identifying, evaluating and developing new business development opportunities; planning and conducting independent research; fully understanding food standards, food safety, sanitary regulations, and good manufacturing practices; evaluating technical trends and making recommendations for process and/or product improvements; conducting testing of new products in a laboratory pilot plant and scaling product requirements; and maintaining written technical documentation.

Qualifications

Qualified candidates will have a minimum of a Bachelor Degree in Food Science/Food Engineering and up to one year of laboratory product development/food science experience and/or equivalent combination of education and experience. Candidates must have basic skills using scales, pH meters, refractometers, pilot lab hardware, homogenizers, and steam kettles.
