Assurance Intern (3 months, unpaid) Del
Monte Fresh Produce - North America JOB TITLE: Quality Assurance Intern (3 months,
unpaid) Del Monte Fresh Produce Company, one of the world's leading
vertically integrated producers, marketers and distributors of high-quality fresh
and fresh-cut fruit and vegetables, is currently seeking candidates to
participate in our Quality Assurance Internship program. This program will be
based in several North America locations. Purpose of Position: Interns
will assist in all aspects of Quality Assurance (QA). All assignments will be
educational in nature and from a QA perspective. This position includes
department and location rotations. Special projects will be assigned, with
deadlines, to ensure department goals are met and exceeded. Objectives: Develop a strong quality assurance skill
set, to be utilized in areas such as Fresh Cut, Whole Fruit and Repack
operations. Gain exposure to safety rules and
regulations, with a primary focus on Hazard Analysis and Critical Control
Points (HACCP). Develop strong working relationships with
operational and sales teams as related to quality assurance. Assist Quality Assurance Manager in
trending data for various Quality Assurance programs. Minimum Skills Required: Bachelors Degree
in Agriculture, Food Science, Agribusiness or related field. Good knowledge of Microsoft Office Programs
(i.e. Word, Excel, and Outlook). Excellent analytical and communication
(i.e. oral and written) skills. Bi-lingual:
English/Spanish. Must be
willing to travel approximately 25%, and be open to relocation opportunities
within North America. Must be
able to adhere to a flexible schedule. **This is a three
