group of school children becomes ill with food poisoning in Eastern Sri Lanka

Another group of school children in Eastern Sri Lanka have been admitted to
Ampara hospital due to a suspected food poisoning incident after consuming
chocolates. Epidemic Specialist of
the Ampara Hospital Dr. R.M Thilak Rajapakse said that 13 school children of
the Gamini Maha Vidayalaya in Ampara were admitted to the hospital this
morning after consuming chocolates. According to the
students they have consumed chocolates distributed at a birthday party of a
school mate. The chocolates had a taste of soap, the children have
complained. The samples of the
chocolates have been sent to the Government Analyst. |
