WHAT WILL I BE DOING?

In your role as a Food Safety Supervisor at Kellogg, you will be part of our success by:

·         Ensuring Microbial program compliance and sanitation compliance, while managing vendor relations related to food safety and sanitation

·         Adhering to required quality, sanitation & food safety laws, regulations, corporate policies and practices including compliance with all Food Safety regulations

·         Being accountable for MCRS® (Management Control Report System) sustainability: ensure achievement of all area / shift KPIs, while delivering continuous improvement and working with Corporate Quality in the execution of company programs

·         Being accountable for HACCP, quality & food safety and sanitation training for the facility as well as PES and QAR program administration for the Ingredient COA program to ensure compliance

·         Being accountable for allergen program management and compliance, your role will ensure key traceability, inspection program management, vendor management, and the delivery of the established metrics for the microbial program

·         Responsible for people safety and proactively engage in people safety initiative and ensuring adherence to all standard work processes, including K-LEAN processes

·         Overseeing sanitation program to include master cleaning schedule, clean up inspections, validations of allergen cleanings using swabs and/or samples collected for analysis

·         Administering the terms of the Collective Bargaining Agreement/work rules and company policies and procedures in a consistent manner, provides input during planning and preparation for labor negotiations, while attempting to resolve disputes on the floor

·         Supporting talent management process for associates, ensuring Diversity and Inclusion meets / exceeds corporate standards, while proactively engaging in the development and training of associates

WHAT DO I NEED TO DEMONSTRATE?
As well as a hunger to learn and succeed in Food Safety & Sanitation, to be considered for this position you must be able to meet the following requirements:

Required

·         BS degree or equivalent is required with significant experience in quality, food safety & Sanitation practices

·         Previous HACCP certification and thorough technical knowledge of quality & food safety

·         Strong understanding of applicable regulations, GMP and Food Safety standards in accordance with regulatory bodies (FDA, USDA, CFIA, etc)

·         Strong technical aptitude along with proficiency in Microsoft Office and experience with SAP

Preferred

·         BS degree in food science or microbiology

·         Proven experience in managing processes

·         Significant knowledge of food processing and packaging

·         Experience in auditing and Safe Quality Food (SQF) requirements

WHAT ELSE DO I NEED TO KNOW?

·         Must be able to work 3rd shift and some 12+ hour days, including weekends and holidays
