Duties and Responsibilities:
This is an academic, one-year position, with Fall 2013 appointment.
Teach Applied General Nutrition and Scientific Principles of Food as well as
supervise independent study students in Field Experience in Nutrition and
Food Sciences, Special Projects, and Applied Nutrition Practicum. These
courses are designed to meet the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics
competencies related to nutrition and food sciences. Advise undergraduate
students, be part of departmental committees, and work with students on
food-related projects.

Required Qualifications:
Required:
1) MS in nutrition or closely related field with significant graduate course
work in nutrition.
2) Registered Dietitian, two years of post-baccalaureate professional
experience in a nutrition or food science or food-related area.
3) Demonstrated teaching ability and advising.
4) Demonstrated working knowledge of food preparation, food composition, and
the interaction of food components.
5) Demonstrated excellent written and oral English communication skills.
6) Demonstrated experience working with diverse groups.
