Young Living
desires to hire a candidate that has a Master’s degree in Food Science.
We desire to hire someone that can formulate dietary supplements
through all states of concept, prototype, scale-up and production.
- Work with scientists,
vendors, and other groups to develop new products
- Collect technical
information crucial for the creation of monographs and
presentations
- Formulate dietary
supplements and foods through all stages of Concept, Prototype,
Scale-up, and Production
- Supply supporting data to
help marketing, consumers, and vendors understand new products
- Organize and perform customer
panel taste tests and assist with clinical trials
Essential
Duties and Responsibilities
- Perform research of
published scientific literature
- Write technical summaries
and monographs
- Understand and utilize
customer needs and values
- Prepare data sheets and
presentations to support product launch
- Formulate new dietary
supplement and food products
- Establish product
specifications and manufacturing instructions
- Partner with product
managers in developing new products and reformulating products

Qualifications
|
- Knowledge of developing
and processing nutritional products, dietary supplements, and
foods
- Ability to interact with
scientists and non-scientists
- Ability to read and
understand technical scientific publications
- Ability to write
technical documents
Computer
Skills:
- Demonstrate expertise
with Microsoft products and other applicable software or
applications
Education and
Experience
- Bachelor's degree in food
science, nutritional science, or four-year university science
degree required
- 3-5 years of related food
or nutritional experience preferred
- Master’s degree preferred

Work
Environment
- Employee may work in an
office setting. The individual must be able to tolerate the scent
of essential oils worn or diffused.
- Employee may work in
Warehouse environment, needing to wear sweatshirt or specific OSHA
safety gear.
- Employee may work in Farm
environment and in colder temperatures, needing to wear warm
clothing and applicable OSHA safety gear.
Safety
Requirements
- Employee is required to
understand proper safety procedures before operating any
equipment.
- Employee may be required
to be certified to use equipment.
- Employee may be required
to wear appropriate OSHA safety gear.
