Food Scientist Product Development Winston-Salem, NC

 

Kelly Scientific Resources is currently seeking a product development scientist for a major food company in the greater Triad area of North Carolina. This company is a consistent leader in its field, and is highly respected for its high quality goods and scope of products and services. Candidates with strong experience in the food science industry will be considered for this great direct hire opportunity.

 

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

- Progress the development and commercialization of new product projects within bakery, food, and beverages pipelines.

- Sampling ingredients to ensure company specifications are met

- Conducting sensory evaluation of new products

- Ensuring that projects are completed on time

- Coordination with QA, Sales, and Production departments

- Procurement of raw materials and ingredients that meet company specifications.

- Use innovation to continue ongoing development of new pipelines. 

- Provide support to technical services and operations.

 

Essential skills and Experience: 

- Bachelor of Science degree in Food Science or related degree

- Culinary Certification preferred

-  5 -7 years experience in product development for bakery, food, and beverage products. 

- Excellent communication skills

- Knowledge of MS Office applications

- Experience in Flavor House applications
