Meat Processing Operation seeks Food Technologist
to work under the direction of Research and Development Manager,
coordinating implementation of samples as requested by R & D
personnel. **Must
know FDA & USDA labeling guidelines for flavorings,
as well as FDA, USDA, Kosher requirements; must
know analysis with Flashpoints, pH, Free Fatty Acid test,
Specific Gravity for flavors; vacuum oven drying. Must
have extensive working knowledge with Maillard reactions;
Primary knowledge in Savory Flavorings in yeasts, HVPs, amino acids,
flavor chemicals, etc;
Demonstrated knowledge of software applications such as Word,
Excel, Microsoft Office, PowerPoint. Bachelor
of Science in Food Science, Animal Science, Chemistry or
related field preferred**; 1-2 years of industry experience,
must have hands-on meat industry experience; or in meat
savory seasonings, meat extenders, etc. Ability to read,
write, communicate in English.
Knowledge of Spanish is a plus,
not required. Must be able to perform basic math skills as
pertaining to the job. No Supervisory responsibilities with this
position.
Immediate Need. Salary $40-$50's K.
