Description National Starch, has an excellent opportunity for a Sr. Technician in its Cereal Science R&D Group located at our corporate headquarters in Bridgewater, NJ.

Position Overview:
This position will be responsible for carrying out basic science-based laboratory procedures supporting innovation and research activities of Cereal Science Group. The successful candidate will have the ability to:
1.Follow well-defined scientific experiments and procedures utilizing standard wet and dry chemistry.
2.Perform laboratory bench work utilizing standard wet chemistry techniques such as colorimetry, pH adjustments, titrations, test assay procedures, etc.
3.Use standard lab equipments and conduct scientific processes and data collections.
4.Compiles results and generate laboratory reports.
5.Analyzes data and reports results using standard statistical tools.
6.Record daily laboratory work and update record lab notebook routinely while following guidelines of Good Laboratory Practices (GLP).
7.Maintain detailed and accurate records for patents and intellectual property reports.

Associates degree in Chemistry, OR BS in other discipline or appropriate technical qualification with commensurate experience
Previous laboratory bench top experience in a research laboratory or product development facility would be an asset.
Demonstrated willingness to learn new skills and advance in a research environment
Solid communication skills both written and oral
Enthusiasm for lab work and product development
