B.S. in Food Science, Nutrition or related field with a minimum of 3 years product development experience. Additional culinary training or experience desired.
Applicant should have a solid working knowledge of the principles of food preservation, the ability to independently manage multiple projects, a creative approach to the development process and effective time management skills. Applicant should also have good interpersonal, written and communication skills.
Formulate products across all food & beverage categories from bench top development through commercialization. Responsibilities include managing multiple projects, interacting with clients and client managers, sourcing and ordering ingredients, providing formulation costs and ESHA nutritional analyses, assisting in commercialization and conducting shelf life studies.
