The role of the Product Safety Specialist is to
provide technical support to the QA Department by gaining expertise in
regulatory affairs as they relate to food and consumer goods marketed by Figi’s so that necessary Policies, Procedures and
Practices are established, embraced and championed by the appropriate
departments within the larger organization.
Requires a 4 year degree in one of the technical
scientific fields with applied experience in the business. Must have one or
more years of previous experience leading problem solving efforts with
participants representing other departments or work groups. Prior
experience in the field of Quality Assurance or Quality Control is
desirable. Individual must possess ability to communicate effectively when
speaking and in writing. Individual must demonstrate the ability to
effectively utilize math skills (add, subtract, multiply, divide,
fractions, percent, decimals), keep track of and prioritize multiple tasks;
interact professionally with a wide variety of people; speak in front of
groups of people with varying backgrounds; pay attention to detail and work
with tight deadlines.
