FSQA Specialist 13004180 - IL-Chicago

Basic Purpose-The primary responsibilities are to support FSQA managers by: (1) monitoring, tracking, and approval of suppliers (2) Set-up and execution of product cuttings (3) management of specifications and label approval (4) management of reports and supplier & facility compliance monitoring.

Description

Set-up and execute product quality evaluations, this includes; physical set-up of product evaluation, measurement of product attributes, evaluation of sensory attributes, data collection and data reporting.

Support and administer the maintenance of USF's Exclusive Brand Supplier Database ensuring accurate contact information and reconciliation of active suppliers.

Support the ongoing compliance process through the verification an approval of labels, third party audit report distribution lists and escalating compliance issues to relevant parties.

Maintain database of the USF Exclusive Brand suppliers with accurate contact information, reconciliation of active suppliers and compliance monitoring within ICIX.

Provide support to customers on the distribution of third party audit reports to and from customers to the appropriate USF FSQA personnel.

Provide support in the development and distribution of communications to customers, suppliers, and USF facilities in the areas of food safety and QA project initiatives.

Manage the maintenance of the Exclusive Brand Specification program, including establishment of template, maintenance of database, and administration of specification approval process

Manage the division product evaluation program, which includes including collection of data from divisions and establishment of supplier monitoring system.

Provide support as requested and required for other USF FSQA projects, programs, and initiatives.

Qualifications

-

Education/Training: Bachelor's degree biological science, Food Science or similar field required.

Related Experience: Minimum two years relevant quality assurance, project management or other relevant experience required.

Specialized Knowledge Needed For Performance of Job: The candidate must possess strong written and verbal skills as well as keen presentation skills. Prior experience in training facilitation preferred. Must be proficient in Microsoft Office suite of software.
