Be part of Burger King Corporation's Summer Internship Program!

Our internship program is 10 weeks over the summer.All of our opportunities are located in Miami, FL.Each intern will be provided with an opportunity to work on projects that directly impact our business.


The two intern positions will interact with various departments within Global Operations as well as with suppliers and laboratories. Possible internship projects/responsibilities include:


∑         Support Restaurant Health Department Inspection Monitoring Test expansion, working with third party provider


∑         Review, filing and organization of product support data, state regulatory information/history and documents (internal operating procedures, vendor information, technical information, specifications, third-party support data) related to various Food Safety topics will be needed


∑         Enhance standardization Burger King Corporation specifications contained in the Specification and Supplier Management System (SSMS) across similar food categories


∑         Assist in the monitoring of Food Safety Alerts, Foreign Material Retrieval and Investigation, and Food Allergy reports


∑         Provide telephone backup and support to both internal and external customers (responding to public health regulators) while Manager of Food Safety and Regulatory Compliance is out of office


∑         Assist in Restaurant Food Safety support role as needed




  • Undergraduate or Graduate student majoring in Food Safety, Food Microbiology, Food Science, Public or Environmental Health, Food Engineering, or related field

  • Upperclassman preferred

  • Minimum basic coursework/knowledge/training in food safety principles and practices OR environmental health with focus in food safety

  • Basic coursework/knowledge/training in Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPís), Good Agricultural Practices (GAPís) and Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point (HACCP) as applied to food safety  

  • Strong interest in Food Safety

  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills and interpersonal skills; can effectively navigate relationships with internal and external clients

  • Self-starter and flexible; ability to multi-task in a fast paced environment

  • Knowledge of FDA Model Food Code requirements

  • Knowledge and past experience/exposure to supply chain and regulatory compliance matters preferred

    Restaurant or other food industry experiences a plus ServSafe or other Food Safety certification a plus                                            ∑          
  • You must have unrestricted authorization to work in the United States
